  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 bunch dill, finely chopped
  • 4 chives/scallions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 lemon's juice, fresh squeezed
  • 1 tsp water

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake vigorously to combine.
  • Allow the dressing to sit in the fridge for 10 minutes or up to a day for flavors to develop.
  • Dressing can be kept refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 7 days.

Notes

  1. You can adjust the amounts of vinegar and lemon to make the dressing more or less tangy. You can also omit one of these if you don't have both on hand.
  2. The amount of herbs can be adjusted. Parsley is also delicious added to this recipe.
  3. On subsquent days, I like to refresh the dressing and create more by adding some mayo/sour cream and a few fresh herbs.
  4. On subsequent days, the dressing can thicken. Add a tablespoon of water or buttermilk/milk at a time to get to your desired consistency.
